November Events

I was invited to be a participating artist in the Quick Draw Art Auction that took place in Moab on November 21st and 22nd. I did two paintings for the event, one called ‘Girl at the Apache’. Moab’s Apache Motel could almost be a historic landmark. And the sign out in front has not changed much over the years. The Apache’s claim to fame is that John Wayne stayed there. They even have a suite named after him.
The event was part of the Mystery Dinner Theatre that was hosted by the MARC (Moab Arts and Recreation Center). I am also currently showing a few select pieces in the MARC’s gallery.

When I was a kid . . .
. . . I remember one day in school during art I wiped some paint on my pants. A girl named Jenny said, “Your mom is going to be so mad.” And I thought, “What is she talking about? Who cares about pants?”
